| December 2007 I was asked to lead worship for the first time around Christmas. I have always loved Christmas music, beginning to play it Thanksgiving night and continuing until early January. It brings me into the quiet awe-filled reverence of the season when we celebrate Jesus' birth. However, as I searched the lyrics of song after song, it became clear that the traditional carols which focus on Jesus, do so by telling His story, they do not usher into worship. True, there were several which called to adore, but none let the listener in worshipping the King of kings in thanksgiving for His birth. So I began to ask the Lord to help me compose His worship songs for the Christmas season. The result is this unique CD, which includes 7 original Christmas worship songs plus 4 traditional carols to give the CD a definite Christmas feel through and through. May it bless every listener richly at Christmas and facilitate drawing closer to the very heart of God. O come let us adore Him! Elizabeth |
